Trust

Change comes when we give ourselves time to feel lonely, to feel empty, to feel bored. To create space to simply be. To lean in and feel it all. As that is when we start to show up. For ourselves, for our work. By work, I mean projects, the things that make our hearts sing, our souls content and our brains tick. Truly tick. It may not be a lightning bolt epiphany, more of a slow evolution of trials and errors that lead us to making or doing something full of heart and courage.

We try something, create, share, explore, all with this inner knowing. We start to feel exposed when we share what we create, but the feeling is so strong and the urge to share with anyone, everyone is so intense, we risk our hearts and share regardless. Stepping towards honesty and bare hearted truth; vulnerability.

As perfection is a barrier, it’s a scary prospect to know someone who seems so put together and unattainable. We are more likely to be attracted to someone who is real, just like us. When we feel we belong. We can try and hide it all but emotion is universal and unites us, it connects us. It feels good to know we aren’t alone. Knowing someone else is experiencing these feels, brings us together.

By letting ourselves feel, be real and be seen, we are simply being human. Being true.

People will gravitate to us and love us for our vulnerability, for our honest and authentic selves, even when we fear the opposite may well happen.

Our projects and creating may not come to anything, yet its for us to explore and on we go. We continue to make, to create, to expressing the emotion with; our way. Showing ourselves, more than anything or anyone, that we can. Yes we can. We can do this.

We have to risk our hearts for love and connection to find us.  I use the word love to mean embracing all the beauty, wonder and gold that is this life. The beauty of everyday. Life’s grace is lived in these moments. When we dare to share and be ourselves, honestly, sharing our joy, sharing our pain or sharing a piece of our hearts, through something we’ve made, we created.

And oh my we are all creative. We all have an imagination, we all have ideas.  I challenge anyone who shrinks and thinks otherwise. If that is you, I wish to wrap you up in arms full of love and whisper to you ‘yes you can’.

TRUST

It’s in these small moments that happiness and joy reside. Keep your eyes and your heart open. Feel everyday, trust yourself. And make the most of this beautiful, beautiful life.
